We visited St.Cedma’s Church Christmas Quilt display with Mrs Marcus. Mrs Marcus designed and made this collection of beautiful quilts with a group of ladies called ‘The Peacemakers’. It took the group 10 months to hand stitch these quilts telling the Christmas Story. Each of the 14 ladies all made one square in each of the quilts.
We loved hearing the Christmas Story and finding the characters who some of us played in our Nativity Play. We enjoyed hearing a little bit about the church’s history and we all thought the windows were really beautiful.
Thank you to Mrs Marcus for giving us her time and for sharing the story of how the quilts were made and how the Christmas Story is told through all the quilts.
