Visit from Mr Wilson
Yesterday, Mr Sammy Wilson (MP) visited our school to talk to the teachers about their experiences of teaching through lockdown and about our return to school. It was great to have the opportunity to tell him about all of the hard work that was done by staff, parents, carers and children!

His visit also gave me the opportunity to show Mr Wilson around school to see the new furniture, painted classrooms, school garden/greenhouse, sensory room and all of the new resources that we have purchased in recent years.
Our new CCTV system has added additional security to our school and we hope that our new state of the art heating system will be completed next week.
However, I was very pleased to inform him that, at last, we have received approval for a new entrance/reception area in school and a new fence for our playground! In addition the mobile classroom is going to be removed which will give us a lot more space in our school garden. This is very exciting news and we hope that work will start as soon as the various contracts etc are in place.
I discussed the need for some new windows in school with Mr Wilson and we will continue to progress this request with EA until they are upgraded!
Many thanks again to Mr Wilson for his time and efforts!
