HMRC came to Larne and Inver to deliver their brand new 'Junior Tax Facts' programme. In fact, we were the first school, in this area to take part! The last number in the photo below is the amount of tax collected by the UK Government in a single year. Quite a bit! The children learnt to appreciate what tax pays for (NHS, schools, parks, Police and Fire Service etc.) and what they buy that includes tax (games, food, etc.). It was very interesting and made us all think.
