This morning as part of our play based learning, we heard about how today is the first day of Chinese New Year. We learnt that this year is the year of the snake. The children in our class born 2019 were born in the year of the pig, and 2020 were born in the year of the rat. 🇨🇳
The children made their own snake from a paper plate, decorated a dragon mask and made patterns with snakes. They also had to find the missing number in a Chinese numberline. A busy, busy morning! 👏🏻
P1 listened to a story called ‘Lanterns and Firecrackers”, watched programmes on the ActivPanel during break time and even have yummy chicken curry for school dinner! 🙂👏🏻
