As part of primary 2’s clothes topics, we have been looking at different materials clothes were made from and how different materials are used to make different items of clothing depending on what they are for. We looked at how some clothes were made from lighter materials to keep us cool whilst others were made from heavy or even fleecy materials to keep us warm. We went on to test different materials to see if they were waterproof. We talked about what this means and why we might need some things to be waterproof.
