Coronation Fun in Primary 2
To start the day we took lots of photos of everyone dressed up. Everyone looked fab! Following this we watched a short video to explain what the Coronation is and why it is important. After this there were lots of crafts explained. These included making a crown, designing a Coronation robe, designing a new stamp, designing Coronation flag, a colouring page, completing a cut and stick activity with Buckingham Palace and a bookmark.
After lunch we went out to the Outdoor Classroom for a story about King Charles with Primary 1. We also completed a Royal Scavenger Hunt with them. We worked in teams to find different items that are an important part in the Coronation. These included pictures of Westminster Abbey, a carriage, an orb, a ring etc. Everyone worked really well together.
A busy but fun day 😀
